School districts often consider creating access and opportunity to advanced learning for all students a core goal. It takes on greater significance for districts with largely underserved populations who have limited access to coursework like Advanced Placement (AP).

This blog post featured the innovative work of school districts and their creative approaches to encourage adoption of AP African American Studies. During a livestreamed College Board-hosted event at A Dream Deferred and HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) conferences, education leaders shared their inspiring stories to expand their AP program offerings.
